Glasses For Tired Computer Watching Eyes

July 9th, 2008 · No Comments

I spend alot of time in front of a computer whether it’s my desktop or my Toshiba notebook. So lately I’ve been noticing my eyes getting a little more tired then normal. Well after seeing an optometrist my worst fears have come true. I just recently turned 40 and now I’m going to have to use glasses while at the computer. Now comes the hard part in choosing the right glasses. My parents have always had glasses but they come from the generation where everyone wore glasses and some ugly ones too so I’m a little scared until now. Working online of course I found a place that has a few deals and lots of styles of glasses. Zennioptical.com is great you can look through hundreds of different frames and for the price they’re selling them I can get 2 or 3 pairs for the price of one. So not only do I get a couple of different styles all their glasses include an anti scratch coating as well as full UV protection. Check it out they even have a full guarantee.

The Secret To Good Digital Photos

July 7th, 2008 · No Comments

It’s not really a secret but I did figure it out a little while ago while on the golf course. So many people get hung up on taking good pictures myself included up until recently. Here it is take lots of pictures. Say you want a great picture of the golf hole you got your first hole in one on. The best way is to take lots of pictures, a hundred or more depending on the subject. Guaranteed you’ll get at least one good if not great photo from all the pictures you took and with the amount of space on most digital camera’s media cards you don’t have to worry that you took lots. Let me know how it works.

Earlier this week Blog Marketing Journal, one of the most popular and influential blog marketing websites on the Internet, has added a new WordPress tips section to their site.

The new WordPress tips section of BlogMarketingJournal.com keeps site viewers apprised of the latest and greatest modifications in the software and offers a wide range of tips for the building of their own blog sites and online communities.

I especially like the new tip about Technorati and Wordpress very helpful.

A Web Presence Does Cost Some $$$

May 11th, 2008 · No Comments

I love it when I first meet with a client and they’re thinking of a website for their business and they have no clue about hosting there website including how much to expect to pay. Some just think they buy the domain name and ta da now they just have to put some content up and there’s their site. Although hosting can be pretty inexpensive for an entry level website, it stills costs. That’s where of course educating your client is important. Having a web presence cost some $$$$ it can be done for free. We won’t even get into the marketing of a site now.

A Web Directory Worth Checking Out

April 9th, 2008 · No Comments

Part of having a popular website with decent traffic you need to have good quality links pointing to your site. The more quality links you have from good content sites the better. As a webmaster your always looking at ways to get more of these kind of links it usually involves quite a bit of work and searching the Internet. It’s always nice when a good quality directory kind of drops in your lap. There are so many out there some good some not so good. Now the other day I came upon Dirmania. Dirmania is a free business web directory that has a nice Pagerank of 3 and is really laid out nicely. It ’s easy to figure out how to submit your website and the great thing about Dirmania is it usually only takes about 24 hours for your site to get accepted to the directory. They have all the most popular categories such as shopping, Business, Entertainment, Education, Recreation and  Sports, Health and Fitness and even Kids & Teams. They also have paid options for listing in there directory as well if your website doesn’t qualify for a free listing. I like the fact that Dirmania is search engine friendly and very easy to navigate which is great when your trying to build a popular web directory. Check out Dirmania free directory I think you’ll be impressed.

Mozialla Introduces Firefox 3 Beta 5

April 4th, 2008 · No Comments

Firefox is the browswer I use the most, my favorite you might say well this week Mozilla introduced Firefox 3 Beta 5 this past Wednesday, with more than 750 changes from the previous beta, including improved stability and Web compatibility, user interface enhancements, performance improvements, and better integration with Windows, the Mac, and Linux.

Here’s the lowdown for the average user like you and I from Mozilla:

  • Just start typing in the Location Bar to search your bookmarks and history. It adapts and learns as you use it.
  • Pause and resume your downloads, and search through your download history by file or website name using the new Download Manager.
  • Find out who you’re talking to by clicking on the website icon.
  • Experience the fastest Firefox ever — twice to three times as fast on today’s complex web applications like Google Mail or Zoho Office.
