A website with a blog is good right, well Tino Triste a social media optimisation consultant at Manchester-based search engine optimisation (SEO) firm Just Search, seems to think so. When I came across this article I said to myself this isn’t rocket science most of these things are common sense. Like the fact that inbound links and fresh content are keys to boosting a website’s ranking, as long as the content is relevant to the website’s sector. Some quotes from him:
“[Blogging] provides a channel for reaching a wider audience and increasing brand awareness, through both boosting rankings and providing leading industry comment,” Mr Triste continued.
Other bloggers and browsers will then link to the site, raising its ranking on Google and other search engines, he said.
However, it is vital a blog is kept up to date to secure a regular audience, the SEO consultant added.
So if your blog relates to your main website people dig it they’ll come back hence it enhances your main site. Cool.
